We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating and visiting a new church for the first time can be the same. We want to help make your first experience at First Denton a great one!
Life Groups are offered during both hours so that you can find a community to join before or after attending worship.
We are located at 1100 Malone Street in Denton, TX near Denton High School, Newton Rayzor Elementary, and UNT.
How long is a normal service?
Plan to arrive around 10 minutes prior to the start of the service so you can grab a cup of coffee in the lobby, get your kids or students checked-in, and find a seat. In total, a Sunday morning service is about 75 minutes in length. Services begin with our praise team or choir leading the church in music with song lyrics projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. After the music portion of the service is complete, our senior pastor will come out to share a text-driven message from the Bible.
What about my Kids?
We believe that kids should be engaged with God's Word at church every single week and at First Denton Kids we make this a priority. Our other top priority is your children’s safety. Because of that, we have a detailed check-in process for our Kids ministry the first time that you visit. You’ll want to leave yourself an extra 10 minutes to get signed in and fill out a registration form. First Denton Kids is offered during the 9:30 & 11 am services for children Birth through 5th Grade.
What’s the culture like at First Denton?
We care about you, not what you’re wearing. At First Denton, there is no dress code! Some people wear jeans and t-shirts, while others show up in their Sunday best. We want you to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable! We’re a church full of imperfect, broken people who are being changed by Jesus and serving others together. Regardless of your story, we believe you belong!
