The Men's Tuesday evening Bible study is back for Spring 2024 and studying The James Code: 52 Scripture Principles for Putting Your Faith into Action by O.S. Hawkins (a book in the Jesus Code series). You will need to purchase your own copy of the book as these will not be available in the class.
Mark Caswell will be joining us and going over Song of Songs 6:3. We will be gathering at First Denton on Friday evening for dinner, our first session, and activities in the gym after. We will meet again on Saturday for more sessions, meals, fellowship and breakout sessions. Childcare provided for additional cost, must register child(ren) by April 5th.

Are you seriously dating or engaged? Come join us for an 8-week class on Marriage Basics. The class will be on Wednesdays at 6 pm. Those who complete the class will receive a certificate valid for $60 off on a marriage license application in the state of Texas.
Cultivate is a Bible Study for Young Adults who want to tackle the deeper questions of their faith. This study will be a great time to answer questions you have about faith and to have meaningful discussions with other Young Adults. Topics covered may include Doctrine of the Word of God, God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Church.
Join us on Saturday, September 7th for a Tailgate Party! Bring your favorite tailgate dish to share and we will provide the hamburgers and hotdogs! This will be indoors, so wear your favorite team attire and come ready to beat the heat with some fun fellowship! Please RSVP by September 4th.

We are having a full day of fun geared toward families on the 5th Sunday of September, join us on the 29th at 11am, followed by a Churchwide Lunch in the Fellowship Hall. The 11am service will be extra family-friendly so that your grade school children can attend with you! There will be no Elementary Kids programming and Preschool programming will only be available for brith-3yrs. (Regular adult and children's programming still available at 9:30am). We look forward to a day celebrating our families!
Camp Copass is having its annual Senior Adult Day on October 1st! This free event will feature a worship time with Mark Bennett, a sermon by Curt Hale the Copass Pastor for Summer 2024, Bingo with prizes, tours of the camp, and more! Lunch will be provided. Please register online.
Our next Young Adult Date Night activity is Axe Throwing!! Join us at The Horse's AXE we will have the place to ourselves while we we throw axes, play billiards and compete in cornhole together! If you need childcare, be sure to register your children separately for our Parents Night Out event on the Kids Ministry page!
Join our Senior Adult Ministry for lunch at a mystery destination on the 4th Wednesday of every month at 11am. If you need a ride, we will be taking some on the bus, or you can meet us there! Either way, it's going to be a fun time! Please register each month so that we can make appropriate seating accommodations.

This will be a wonderful time of food, fellowship, and entertainment and a perfect opportunity for you to invite friends and family members to join you in remembering the real reason for the season. Together, Dr. Jeff Williams and the the Elder & Bylaw Review Taskforce have called a special Business Meeting for Sunday, December 8th immediately following both services to vote on moving to an Elder-led church governance structure, as outlined in their 63 page document posted on the membership page of our website. There will be no discussion at this meeting and it will be a ballot vote as we will verify membership. Per our bylaws, you must be physically present at the meeting to vote, one vote per member. If you have questions or concerns, you can find members of the Taskforce in the Hub every Sunday leading up to the meeting or contact them by emailing bylaws@firstdenton.org.
Senior Adults are invited to join us on a trip to Branson, Missouri as we see the “Miracle of Christmas” at the Sight and Sound theater, experience an “Old Time Christmas” with over 6.5 million lights at Silver Dollar City and much, much more! Cost is per person and includes transportation, lodging, tickets to each event and 3 mornings of breakfasts.
